At a demonstration outside the Dáil in July 2021, we called on the Irish government for 30% Marine Protected Areas (MPA’s) by 2030, protection of the existing MPA’s, and no industrial fishing in MPA’s. We must act now to save what we can, and restore what has been destroyed. We were accompanied by Irish Wildlife Trust, Flossie and the Beach Cleaners, and Extinction Rebellion Ireland.
